These Charms represent ongoing Charm practice by Aikiko Tanaka, Night Caste Solar, student of Gri Fel, and friend of Charles Dexter Ward. Kiko is researching these Charms to hide more effectively among the mortals of the Celestial City Yu Shan. She also has an interest in the Stealth Charm Hooding the Solar Lantern from Dreams of the First Age: Lords of Creation, the better to hide her Caste Mark.

Sometimes a Solar needs a disguise right now. Under such pressures, there’s no time for designing makeup or a costume. Fortunately, the ever-resourceful Night Caste adapts. By paying a surcharge of 3 motes when activating Flawlessly Impenetrable Disguise, the character can take on any previously-created disguise as a Speed 6, DV -1 Simple action. There is no need to carry the necessary materials or even keep them. The Essence of Creation simply transforms her into that person.

Expediting the process is not without its drawbacks. The first is that the use of Flawlessly Impenetrable Disguise becomes Obvious, as gold sunlight (and any of the other clichés of transformation sequences, if the user desires) surrounds the character. Hiding behind something is highly recommended if the Solar wishes to preserve some surprise. The more significant disadvantage is that the disguise lasts for only a single scene. It dissipates harmlessly into the character’s anima afterwards.

Instant Transformation Prana also applies to upgrades to Flawlessly Disguise, such as Perfect Mirror.

If a Solar wishes to appear as what she is not, she can do so with little effort, and that is that. Few supernatural beings can pierce through her nearly flawless imitations. This Charm enhances Flawlessly Impenetrable Disguise, Perfect Mirror, and other Larceny Charms that make the character appear to be another being. It alters them in the following ways:

• Disguise Charms no longer cost Willpower.
• The difficulty to see through the disguise with inhuman sensory acuity increases to 4+(Permanent Essence).
